WhatsApp Releases Chatlock, Other Features for Android
One of the new features is the Chat Lock, which allows users to put a fingerprint lock on their private chats. This ensures that the locked chats remain hidden on the main dashboard of the app. Users can enable the Chat Lock feature by going to a person’s profile, scrolling down, and tapping on the ‘Chat Lock’ option.
Another addition is the ability to save important messages when using the Disappearing Messages feature. Users can now press on a message and choose ‘keep’ to save it permanently, while the rest of the text will still disappear after a certain time period.
WhatsApp has also included new text overlay tools for Status, such as updated fonts and background colors. Additionally, GIFs will now play automatically in chats without the need for users to tap on them individually.
These updates are gradually rolling out to all Android users of WhatsApp, so it may take some time for everyone to receive them.
